My other word documents on my F: drive do not give me the problem, so I'm pretty sure that it's not the program altogether. I'm guessing that somehow the files have gotten either orphaned or locked out for some reason. I can't locate my Office disc, if I need to re-install the program. I'm hoping that it is an easy fix that I am somehow. If I try to open a second file it will put up a dialog box that says, 'Additional permissions are required to access the following files:' When I follow the prompts to select the file, and Grant Access, Word then tells me that it can't open the document because the user does not have access privileges. Right click on an empty part of the desktop. Choose shortcut. Browse to Winword.exe. Give a nice description. If you don't know where the programs are, have a look. To grant access to an application For an existing application, click the Applications node in the left pane. Right-click an application in the right pane, and choose Properties. If you turn this setting on, those apps will ask users for permission to access your organization’s data, and users can choose whether to allow it. If you turn this setting off, then admins must consent to those apps before users may use them. In this case, consider setting up an admin consent workflow in the Azure portal so users can send a request for admin approval to use any blocked app.
A user can give access only to apps they own that access their Office 365 information. They can't give an app access to any other user's information.
Turning user consent on or off
Here's how to turn User consent to apps on or off.
In the admin center, go to the Settings > Org settings > Services page, and then select User consent to apps.
On the User consent to apps page, select the option to turn user consent on or off.
